Lebnéne - Lebanese Keyboard

FOR MAC

Install the Keyboard

First things first—grab that Lebnéne keyboard file from your download source. Easy, right?

Now, we need to move that file into its proper home.

Here’s how:

a. Open Finder: Click the cute Finder icon in your Dock!

b. Go to Folder: Press Command + Shift + G on your keyboard. You’ll see a box pop up!

c. Enter the Path: Type /Library/Keyboard Layouts/ and click "Go". 🚀

d. Drag and Drop: Simply drag the Lebnéne file and drop it into that folder. Done!

Next up, restart your device, then let’s head to your Keyboard Settings! You can find this in System Preferences (or System Settings if you're on the latest macOS).

Under Text Input, find Input Sources, and click “Edit…”.

Click that + button to add a new keyboard!

In the search box, type "Lebanese", select Lebanese Kelme, and hit Add.

Pro tip: You may need to restart your Mac for everything to work perfectly. 🖥️🔄

Now, choose Lebanese Kelme from your input sources, and voilà—you’re all set to type in Lebanese! 📝✨

Bonus: Keyboard Layout Info 🔤

Curious how your keyboard will look? Here’s a sneak peek at the layout:

Basic Layout: Regular key arrangement for daily use.

Expert Layout (with Dead Keys): For the pros! 🧠 These keys help you type accents and diacritics.

Type bel Lebnéne!

And that’s it! You're now ready to type like a pro in Lebanese on your Mac! 🎉🌟

But beware of the apostrophe – it's a Dead Key, sacrificed for the greater good of the alphabet drama. 😵 When you press it, it won't do a thing... until you team it up with a vowel and select consonants. 🎩✨

Say goodbye to the "Insert Symbol" saga! Happy typing! 🚀⌨️
